Megiddo Engine Stuff

I'm eating Salt 'n Vinegar chips right now.
I don't really like them.

Anyway, tomorrow, Camilla D'errico is one of the alumni who are gonna come in to talk to us about how her careers has been since graduation. I've only just found out that she actually graduated out of my program. Coinkydink, huh.

In any case, I've been working on Megiddo a bit over the weekend, mainly because I've procrastinated for 3 months and it's finally struck me that the deadline is coming up fast. I think, though, that a... bit of a problem for me is that I like the side characters in the story more than the main characters. It seems to happen to me all the time. :/

In any case, for practice, a portrait of Maya.

Maya, who's a character who'll show up in Megiddo, later. Much, much later.

Anyway, I wanted to learn a really simple 3D rendering program so I can render simple environments and stuff that I can use for ref when I'm trying to draw. Mostly for perspective, cause it'd make life a lot easier.

Lara recommended Sketchup, so I'm trying to learn it... albeit slowly.

I tried rendering a dumb-looking office to use as ref. It's... seriously really dumb. How dumb, you ask?
This dumb:

But, it did help me when I was trying to draw the office, as soon as I found the right angle to draw it from anyway.
Said page:

Yeah... doesn't follow ref exactly, but mostly it's just my screwups/refusal to use a ruler. >__>
I'll use a ruler when I ink it! I promise!
