Those three things are entirely independent, so I'm not making random observations about sketches or Valentine's Day, because my random observations aren't very observant anyway.
Michi wanted to see Charles x Metis as well.
Well, okay.

Hm... And Valentine's Day.
I drew this pic for some Valentine's Day Cards being sold over at Iris Print. A bit late to advertise it now, I s'pose, but better late than never.
EDIT: THIS IS NOT A HONEYSYN PIC. THEY ARE NOT HONEYSYN CHARACTERS.

And finally, the Random Observation.
The other day I was at a store named Urban Source. It's basically a craft store that sells bits and scraps of things that other people might throw out but you may find useful if you're into making things from scraps. Things like bits of paper, fabric, beads, and large pieces of beautiful handmade paper. I usually drop by when I eat at a restaurant across the street.
In any case, the last time I was in there, I came on the shelf pieces of rice paper with gold squares in the center. A few cents each or something like that.
I did a double take. I can see how something like that may appear useful and charming for someone who is scrapbooking, and this is what the paper is:

I really need to emphasize. That is not. Not. NOT crafting paper. It isn't, it really isn't.
Chinese have a tradition where they burn things for their dead loved ones, and the idea is that anything you burn turns into smoke and becomes intangible like the spiritual world. The paper with gold in the center is supposed to represent... well... gold. (You can also fold them into gold ingots, if it makes you feel better. I can't remember how though.)
So, whenever I see that paper, these are the following things I associate it with:
1. Standing in the cold and wind and rain, throwing pieces of crumpled paper into pit or grill.
2. Chinese horror movies.
Not exactly... positive associations, no matter how I look at it.
