pilot_starI knew that I was going to have a work day at school today, so I thought that I could spend all day drawing Junta.
Then reality hit me on the forehead with overwhelming force, and I worked on my placebook and two-page novel spread for the rest of the day. *sobs*
But I still drew Junta (after coming home and lazing around for a while, then watching Heroes, then lazing around some more, then downloading oofuri doujins).
Junta. I was gonna draw him in a dress (hahahaha) but I changed my mind.
More Junta, and Mihashi.
I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of drawing him, so... when I feel like it I'll do another CG. Maybe.
I just realized that maybe I shouldn't post only fanart...
So here are random bits from my sketchbook that aren't complete shit. (I have a bit of typography notes on the side.)
A while ago I was obsessed with the image of a desert village, with all its denizens in flowing robes and sashes and shawls, in a bleak unending horizon of sand, stone, and sky. Oh, and towering cliffs. So obsessed was I that it was basically the only thing I ever drew in my sketchbook (while I was taking notes). Coincidentally, a short while later a show came on on the Chinese channel that featured the exact setting I had in my mind.
I was completely enamored, of course, and I tried to watch the show.
The show sucked. Oh well, such is life.
But the transition from commercials is absolutely awesome. It showed all the village people in their flowing robes, standing in rows on the yellow plateaus of the desert. Total awesomeness. Better than the show itself.
