Blargh.

We had a snow day a few days ago, so of course I would be praying that we'd have another snow day. Unfortunately, it rained all night (and all morning, except for a bit of flurry just now) and all the snow is almost gone.

....One of my classmates is brushing his teeth. In the classroom, as if it's the most natural thing in the world. *avoids looking at him*

In any case, I woke up not really expecting a snow day, but it didn't stop me from hoping, of course, not to mention I still need to print out and make a pdf of the competitive analysis that I needed to hand in that exact day.
So I arrived at school a few minutes early so I had time to export a pdf, or however long that takes (two minutes to boot up the computer, a few to boot up indesign, maybe like 30 seconds to actually make the pdf) and asked George, the classmate who sits in front of me, whether we needed to print our assignment out to hand in.

"Didn't you hear," he asks.

Uh, no.

"She's not coming in. She's sick."

Oh, great.
If it were a full day class, I would've left for home then and there. Unfortunately, it wasn't. it was more like a half day class, with web design after. so I couldn't just take off.
So I've basically been sitting here all morning, finishing up bits of homework and mainly wishing that I'm at home.


So, I was just daydreaming, basically, and I came up with this design for a character.



Mainly what I noticed was that when I don't try to make up BL stories, then most of the characters end up being girls. For this one story I was making up, the characters included:
1. Flit - a boy
2. Sober - cat
3. The Voice - a woman who always wears a mask
4. Colours - a fairy (girl) who always wears a gas-mask
5. Guardian - robot... pretty androgenous but Sober calls it a she

So with that in mind, I started to think about what kind of character would be better suited as a guy. Eventually... Commissioner Godspeed. Because I like the sound of it.



Commissioner Godspeed was born horribly disfigured and covers the lower half of his face with a mask. Since no one has ever seen his entire face before, rumors started circulating that he kills anyone who sees his face. In actuality, he isn't vain and wears the mask more for the sake of others than his own. He clicks a lot when he talks.

Despite the rumors surrounding him, Godspeed's competence, aloofness and air of mystery tends to draw people towards him.

Anyway, I also decided that he tells people he was born that way when he actually got that way during one of the previous wars. He keeps his face covered to prevent questions, which for some reason Sober already knows.

I meant for him to be a lot bulkier, but he ended up feminine, like all the guys I draw.
