Here's the oil painting I did for my school's fund raising class:

I painted the broken down old shipyard that I took photos of before.
In some of the other photos (not those ones) you can see the condo that the shipyard is being torn down to build.

In any case, the jury (of teachers) must've really hated it, because it wasn't chosen to be used for any aspect of the fund raising. Not calendar, not postcards, nothing.
It didn't even hit me until like... 3 days later (I found out on Friday that I didn't get into the calendar, and yesterday morning that I didn't make it into anything) and last night was when I felt really depressed and cried and whined at Schumie. Who had to be patient with me. Again. Poor Schumie.

And I wouldn't even feel like it was unjust if it weren't for the fact that some paintings were used twice. Seriously, that's a hard blow to my already tiny ego. That as someone who wants to be an illustrator, a painting that I did sucked so much that they'd rather use another painting twice than to use mine.

Anyway, enough whining.

A sketch I started for a diagrammatic graphic about the Chinese creation myth. There were several versions of this, but in the end I went with the one that I knew, where Nu-Wa shapes people out of mud.

It's pretty rough, and I'm still working on the composition.
