Some paintings
Dec. 22nd, 2008 03:39 pmI've been working on some paintings for the Vancouver Art Box Show for the past few days. I got 3 boxes, which was actually one more than I really should've gotten...
Anyway, I was trying my hand at acrylics. I could count the number of times I've really painted with acrylics on my hands, and it's the first on wood... so I guess it was more of a learning experience than much else.
Anyway...

Still a work in progress. I more or less just went at it without any idea of what I was going to do. I guess it didn't turn out that bad, although looking at it, I need to fix her jawline.

Two connected boxes. With this, I learned that I really shouldn't do something so ambitious without any planning. It's okay to start painting a face or something with no planning, but this... oh boy. So many problems. I guess I achieved what I was going for though, for the most part.
I have to say... I'm kind of scared to show up at the show at all. I worry that no one would buy my paintings. I guess it's not too big of a deal though, if no one buys them, I'll just take them home.
